Social Networking Site Goes Beta
(Beijing June 16, 2004) A friend of a friend told me that
his friend also lives in Shanghai! Wouldn't it be great if
gamers around China had an easy way to get to know other people?
Moxze today launched it's Beta test of Guanxi Guanxi, a new
Social Networking website that will get gamers in touch with
other gamers AND ther friends all over the world. The Chinese-language
site is being tested by 16 gamers chosen from Moxze's different
online games. Testing is expected to last for 3 months.
Social networking sites are unique because they rely on trust
built-up between users. Therefore, a user can rely on strangers
who are only related via mutual friends.
"For the last 4 years we have been focused 100% on online
multiplayer games and software. Our previous games all had
addictive interactions built-in and we always promoted affiliate
programs that encouraged viral marketing. The Social Networking
site Guanxi Guanxi does the same things and will build up
China's largest gamer community," says Danny Levinson,
